A soft-stretch, lightweight jacket perfect for outdoor adventures in drizzly, cool weather.
Stay dry in Ronhill's Advance Storm Jacket, manufactured from Aqualite fabric to keep water and wind out. The DWR coating repels water; preventing the garment from becoming saturated and unwearable. The jacket is fully seam sealed; meaning that every inch of stitching is covered in waterproof tape, making doubly sure that absolutely no rain gets in to ruin your day. Sometimes it's hard to stay dry without developing that awful clammy feeling, but this 3 layer laminate shell jacket works to wick moisture away from your skin, and move it to the next layer where it can quickly evaporate. So you stay dry AND comfortable. The soft knitted internal fabric face and liner creates a warm, sweat wicking environment for your torso. The stretch construction and articulated sleeves of this jacket mean you can run with no restrictions; because your clothing choice should never compromise your natural movement. A full zip gives adjustable coverage and airflow, allowing you to quickly get rid of heat if you do find yourself getting too hot. Plus, a zip chest pocket offers close, convenient storage. The adjustable hood and cuffs offer extra protection from the elements; pull them tighter to aid in the retention of crucial body heat on bitter days, and to stop the rain from sneaking in. The chin guard prevents any uncomfortable zip abrasion while the storm flap helps to keep rain out, where it might creep in at the fastening. The adjustable hem with a drawcord exists to, again, aid in the retention of all-important body heat, keeping you cosy on winter runs. Reflective detailing increases your visibility to passing vehicles, keeping you safe on those late night road runs.
On the 9th September 1970 Ron Hill set up Ron Hill Sports. Ron Hill was the first ever person from Britain to win the Boston Marathon, in 2hrs 10mins 30secs. He also struck gold at the Commonwealth Games recording a time of 2hrs 9mins 28secs. Ron's unique combination of first hand running knowledge and a career as a textile chemist put him in a prime position to combine his passions and create a running brand. Ron was the first person to use synthetic fabrics in sportswear and invented a lot of the fabrics that today's latest products are based upon. Ron continues to inspire runners even into retirement. Ron has completed over 155,000 miles since he started his training log in 1956. Though even the greatest streak, must eventually end, as Ronhill has announced on the 29th January 2017, after 52 years and 39 days, he's finally going to have a day off.Manufacturer product code - RONRH001327R400
